What are you going to do? 

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working within our Research and Development department. With various technical disciplines, the R&D department is responsible for development inquiries for our three business units: The Battery (Energy Storage Systems), Smart Grid Solutions (Transformer Stations) and Charging Equipment (Charging Stations). In your role, you will be responsible for the elaboration of the electrical concept to a detailed design. Furthermore, you will be working on the maintenance of the product portfolio. This includes selecting alternative components and entering them into EPLAN. In addition, you will have contact with various disciplines in our Research and Development department, but also with production and purchasing. 

Next to that, the following tasks belong to your functional profile: 

  • Setting up functional specifications and translating them into concrete components; 

  • Making the electrical design and electrical schematics in EPLAN (p8); 

  • Design the panel layout for the control cabinets in Pro Panel; 

  • Being involved in the standardization processes; 

  • Delve into the design and safety guidelines, but also into the product standards; 

  • Being closely involved in the initial assessment of the prototype and guidance to production.

What do we ask? 

You are a motivated and critical person. Next to that, it is easy for you to connect to other disciplines within our company. You are eager to learn new things and have a pragmatic attitude. For a good match, we would like to see in your resume that you have: 

  • A Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or a secondary vocational education diploma (MBO 4) towards electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience; 

  • Work experience with a design function within a technical (multidisciplinary) project-based environment; 

  • Experience with EPLAN p8; 

  • Experience with Pro Panel is a plus; 

  • A good understanding of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
