As a S&OP Manager at Alfen, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the company's supply chain operations and ensuring that an efficient planning and execution of sales and operations activities will be provided.

What are you going to do?
To be able to achieve our ambitious growth, we are going to take our supply chain to the next level. Until recently, we handled the supply chain activities for our three different business units separately. From now on, we will be centralizing these activities. In order to make this happen, we created a new department, which automatically also results into new positions. Therefore, we are seeking for a highly skilled people manager with relevant experience as a Sales and Operations Planning Manager.

As a S&OP Manager you have a key position within our new supply chain department. You will be responsible for driving the sales and the operations planning processes. Furthermore, you will be promoting cross-functional collaboration and optimize the supply chain to meet customer demand and to achieve the business targets. In addition, your goal is to build up a team in the heart of Alfen’s planning processes. To arrange this, you will work closely with various departments, including: sales, product management, finance, marketing, logistics and operations. All of this, so that forecasts, demand plans, production schedules and inventory levels are aligned.

Some of your responsibilities includes:

  • Creating a vision together with your team, which eventually will be evolved to an Integrate Business Planning;
  • Building a strong team which will be in the center of the planning process;
  • Taking a lead role in the transformation and customization of the future model and be a change agent; 
  • Implementing processes, tooling and operating models to support the future S&OP/IBP program;
  • Interacting with multiple departments and levels within the organization to lead the S&OP processes, including demand review, product management review, supply review and reconciliation / executive review.
  • Supporting and executing different S&OP / IBP scenario’s, aligned with the business strategy for the three business units;
  • Develop and analyze capacity utilization, runtime and demand planning views.

What do we ask of you?
In the role of Sales and Operations Planning Manager you have a strategic view and the necessary experience to translate the corporate strategy into concrete plans, as well as the right skill set to execute the plans. Moreover you are a real people-manager. You have excellent communication skills to convince people and make sure everyone is aligned. Besides that, you have the ability to understand a challenge and the problem-solving ability to getting things done.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant specialism
  • At least 10 years of working experience in S&OP/Planning/IBP
  • Strong track record in S&OP and change management
  • Experienced in tooling for S&OP
  • Good understanding of English written and spoken, Dutch is beneficial
