What will you be doing?
As a System Engineer you will be responsible for the energy conversion from AC to DC and vice versa, for the business unit; TheBattery (Energy Storage systems). You ensure that the different electrical subsystems are safely and efficiently linked to each other. Every day brings a new challenge in this position. One day you are developing a new product with mechanical, electrical, and software aspects taken into account. Therefore, you also have to consider the standards that the products must comply with (for example IEC & VDE). However, the other day you will focus on defining the product requirements, the subsystems and the component requirements.

Furthermore, you will assist our technical writers in creating the product manuals. In addition, you will also actively participate in testing or preparing test cases for TheBattery. Lastly, you need to document and report your findings in an efficient and understandable way to the various multidisciplinary teams that each projects consists of.

What do we ask?
For a good match, we would like to see in your resume that you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or Sustainable Energy;
  • 3-8 years of relevant working experience in product development;
  • Strong knowledge of Power Electronic systems and topologies, for example DCDC- and ACDC;
  • Experience with hardware designs / schematics at both circuit board- and cabinet level;
  • Knowledge of basic communication protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, RS485, CanBus);
  • Basic knowledge of embedded programming is a plus.
