Changes in Alfen’s EV products
Our latest Twin 5 Plus model for public charging is now fully compliant with AFIR standards and open for orders. From enhanced user interfaces to advanced security measures, our EV charging solutions are designed to deliver performance and reliability.
We’ve seen adoption of external hardware like payment terminals or static QR codes via stickers on chargers. However, Alfen chose a safer and more cost-effective approach by integrating dynamic QR codes directly onto the EV charger’s display. That’s why we equipped our public Twin 5 Plus charger with a full-colour LED display.
The display not only integrates dynamic QR codes but also offers clear up-to-date pricing information, ensuring transparency for end users. It provides essential details like charging status, remaining time, and power output, making the process straightforward. Additionally, companies can use the display for branding to enhance their visibility.
Pricing and cost considerations
With a one-time investment in our “Direct Payment Solutions”-license per charger, you will remotely unlock dynamic QR code and price transparency capabilities.
We’ve already updated the Eve Single Pro-line and Eve Double Pro-line through firmware update 6.6, and you can now update operating chargers in the field, ensuring one-recognisable user interface and continuity.
