Project

Micro grid for 34MWp solar park Zuyderzon in Almere

Location

Almere - the Netherlands

Client

HVC, Sunwatt and Pfalzsolar

Year

2019

On behalf of PFALZSOLAR, Alfen facilitated the development, production, installation, connection and commissioning of a micro grid and the connection with the central electricity grid for solar park Zuyderzon in Almere, the Netherlands. For this, Alfen has supplied nine special 800-Volt PV transformer substations for solar power. Zuyderzon Almere covers an area of around 25 hectares and is therefore almost as big as 50 football fields with a capacity to supply over 9,000 households with electricity.

The project significantly contributes to Almere’s ambition to achieve climate neutrality by 2022. It was granted to Zuyderzon BV, a combination of HVC and Sunwatt. PFALZSOLAR is the developer of the solar park.

PFALZSOLAR was founded in 2003 and is part of the German energy supplier Pfalzwerke Group. They focus all their activities on producing solar energy, and have built up years of expertise in the planning, construction and operation of PV systems.
