What will you do?
As a Sales Engineer at Alfen, you play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies to support our innovative projects within Smart Grid Solutions (SGS). Your role involves a wide range of tasks focused on strengthening our market position and enhancing customer engagement. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of our sales initiatives
You will be involved in diverse and exciting projects within SGS.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze received requests for quotations by our customers.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering and other departments to understand the customer needs and develop a winning bid strategy.
- Support Sales by preparing technical documentation, pricing and attractive offers (technically and commercially).
- Managing internal order transfers and implementing customer contracts, orders, and other requests.
- Initiating and improving internal work quality, processes and providing support, also aftersales.
- Acting as a contact person for customers’ technical questions or specific needs
- Independently welcoming customers and contributing to product innovations and standardizations.
What do we ask of you?
We are looking for a technically and commercially driven professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach. Someone who can communicate effectively at all levels and gain support for projects and solutions. Additionally, you have:
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology.
- Technical background with a commercial mindset.
- 0 – 3 years of work experience, preferably as Sales/ Sales Engineer.
- A VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in Dutch and Englishboth spoken and written. German is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with computer systems, including MS Office, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Willing to learn and adapt, set priorities when needed.
- Can deliver quality work even under tight due dates.
- Teamwork and collaboration are core values.
- A valid driver’s license (B).
