Medium Voltage Service Technician
For technicians who enjoy switching, troubleshooting and working independently. At Alfen, you work with modern medium‑voltage installations, enjoy a high level of independence, drive your own fully equipped service van and contribute to critical energy infrastructure across the Netherlands.
What will you do?
As a Service Technician, you are responsible for inspections, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of medium- and high‑voltage installations at our customers’ sites. You work at various locations and manage your tasks with a high degree of autonomy. Your activities include:
- Inspecting, testing and commissioning new and existing installations (NEN 3140/3840)
- Analyzing and resolving faults
- Performing planned maintenance and replacing components
- Switching and working according to strict safety procedures (STIPEL)
- Reporting and documenting your work in our system
- Coordinating on-site with customers, grid operators and fellow technicians
You will visit unique locations, work with high‑quality equipment and carry a high level of responsibility.

What you bring
- MBO level 4 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in field service, maintenance or electrical engineering
- STIPEL IV/WV certification — or willingness to obtain it
- Calm, precise and solution‑oriented — especially when dealing with faults
- Driving licence B and VCA VOL
- A professional and customer‑focused attitude
No medium‑voltage experience yet, but technically skilled?
