Mid-2018, the dance and house festival Drift in Nijmegen was powered entirely by solar energy, made possible by Alfen's energy storage system TheBattery. 

This sustainable option has saved the festival 10 tons of CO2 emissions, which equals driving a petrol-fuelled car for approximately 45,000 kilometres.
