One charging site, one workflow: Pluq saves a full day with Eve Install
At World Trade Center Almere, Pluq used Alfen’s Eve Install to commission 23 Eve Double Plus charging stations as one site. By configuring and updating multiple chargers in parallel, Pluq estimates that it saved at least one full working day.
The project demonstrates how a scalable commissioning process can support installers as EV charging sites grow, reducing repetitive work and the likelihood of follow-up visits while helping create a consistent configuration across the site.
Scaling EV charging infrastructure
Pluq finances, installs and manages EV charging infrastructure for destination locations. As its projects scale, the commissioning process needs to scale with them.
The company regularly delivers locations with 20 to 60 sockets. At this scale, configuring each charging station separately can add hours of repetitive work and increase the likelihood that an installer needs to return to the site.
At World Trade Center Almere, Pluq was responsible for commissioning 23 Eve Double Plus charging stations. Each unit needed to be configured, updated, connected to a back office and integrated into a Smart Charging Network.
The challenge
Commissioning a larger charging site involves many of the same steps for every charging station.
Firmware needs to be updated, core settings applied and connectivity established before the complete charging network can be validated. Completing these actions separately across 23 units can take considerable time. A firmware update for one charging station can take approximately 15 minutes. Repeating that process sequentially across 23 units could therefore take up to six hours for this step alone.
Pluq wanted a commissioning process that could scale more efficiently as the number of chargers at its sites increased.
The approach
Using Eve Install, the installer first scanned the QR codes on the password flyers provided with each charging station. This made all 23 units accessible in Eve Install from a smartphone.
From there, multiple charging stations could be managed through the same workflow. Firmware updates were initiated in parallel, core settings were applied, the back-office connection was established and the Smart Charging Network was configured across the site. Instead of logging into and configuring each charger separately, the installer could configure multiple chargers at once.
“With Eve Install, we do not configure every Eve Double separately; we configure the charging stations in parallel. At WTC Almere, that saved us at least a full day of work,” Pluq explains.
The result
The clearest time saving came during the firmware update.
Updating the 23 charging stations sequentially could have taken up to six hours. With Eve Install, all units were updated simultaneously. After just 17 minutes, the complete charging site was running the same firmware version.
This did more than reduce waiting time. It also created a consistent starting point for the Smart Charging Network. From the network overview, the installer could check phase distribution and validate the site configuration from a single interface.

As Pluq increasingly delivers destination locations with 20 to 60 sockets, it sees scalable commissioning as an important part of making larger installations more efficient. The same approach also needs to support larger office sites with up to 100 charging points.
