What will you do?

As a Commissioning Engineer at Alfen, you play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the implementation of our innovative energy storage systems (TheBattery). Your responsibilities include testing, commissioning, and fine-tuning complex ESS installations, both on-site and remotely. You work closely with various teams to ensure smooth operational processes and effective support during the delivery of our ESS projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning TheBattery systems, including testing all functions and configurations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation and testing phases.
  • Documenting and reporting test results and commissioning activities.
  • Supporting customers and installation teams during project delivery.
  • Contributing to process improvements within the commissioning team for more efficient project execution.

What are we looking for?

To be a good match, we are looking for a technical professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach. Someone who can communicate effectively at all levels and gain support for your projects and solutions. Additionally:

  • A completed MBO/HBO degree, preferably in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a similar technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within energy storage or electrical installations.
  • Availability for 32-40 hours per week.
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, in spoken and written communication.
