23 June 2025, Almere, The Netherlands – Alfen N.V. (AEX: ALFEN), announces its intention to nominate Maarten Roef for appointment to Alfen’s Supervisory Board for a four-year term. The nomination will be submitted to the General Meeting of Shareholders for approval during its annual meeting in April 2026. Upon Roef’s appointment, he will succeed Henk ten Hove – Chairman of the Supervisory Board – who will step down at the end of his second term on the day of the annual General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2026.

Maarten Roef (born in 1964) brings extensive senior leadership experience in the energy transition, supported by broad national and international expertise. An experienced professional with a strong background in technology and innovation, Roef’s profile aligns with the strategic priorities of Alfen. Most recently, Maarten Roef served as CEO and President of Wavin, a global provider of plastic pipe systems and solutions designed to improve water management, sanitation, and building performance. Roef currently holds a non-executive directorship at Broadview, a global company active in the energy and material technology sectors.

Appropriate arrangements will be put in place to ensure that Roef receives a thorough introduction and handover, thereby facilitating an effective transition and positioning of Roef for optimal contribution and success. The Supervisory Board is confident that Roef has the requisite expertise, brings valuable experience, and will make a significant contribution to the Supervisory Board.
