As part of TheBattery Support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to
our BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) L1 and L2 Technical Support team.

As part of TheBattery Support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) L1 and L2 Technical Support team. From our Control Room, you will ensure that the Installed base is performing optimally, assisting the team both proactively and reactively.

Together with your colleagues, you will guarantee the quality control process for verifying and documenting the agreed performance of the installations. Furthermore, as an L3 Technical Support Engineer, you will conduct comprehensive analyses focused on enhancing product performance and functionality through rigorous technical evaluations.

What you will work on:

  • Provide technical support to our L1, L2 and FSE Technical Support teams (both remote and field) including troubleshooting and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the Research & Development team to ensure that product development aligns with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials for our energy storage systems to the service team, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools for effective product maintenance and support.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including product manuals, service guides, and technical specifications.
  • Work in close coordination with the Technical Support Lead to align service processes with customer needs, ensuring the service teams are well-equipped and trained for optimal product support.
  • Partner with sales teams to effectively market our products, ensuring customers are well-informed about the benefits and capabilities of our energy storage systems.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance, providing recommendations for improvements and updates to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate autonomously with minimal supervision to maintain a high customer satisfaction rate.
  • Be available sporadically for "on-call" evening and night shifts to provide 24/7 support.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical, Power Electronics, or Energy fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs within one or more of the following industries: 
    • Industrial Battery Systems
    • Energy
    • DC/AC Chargers
    • E-Mobility
    • Automotive (focused on electrical/electronic systems
  • Extensive experience in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Fluency in English, with strong reading and writing skills (additional proficiency in Central European languages is a plus).
  • Knowledge of SCADA and/or PLC control.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a Technical Support role. Additionally, at least 3 years of experience in Project Management.

Furthermore

  • Experience with cloud-connected embedded systems or programming/scripting languages (e.g., JSON, C++, Python, XML) is advantageous but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Familiarity with European industrial safety standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NEN 1010, NEN 3140 / 3840, IEC/EN 60204-1, and DIN VDE standards) is considered a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading technical projects to successful completion.
