Systems Engineer

Within our Research & Development (R&D) department, we work amongst others, with specialist teams in the disciplines of software, electrical, (power) electronics and mechanical engineering. The disciplines are brought together in development projects, where new unique products are realized and existing products are innovated.
As a Systems engineer, you will form a tandem with the project manager. Whereas the project manager focuses on controlling the overall project, the systems engineer focuses on the technology within a project. Here, the focus is on the overall product and requirement management. Furthermore, you will work closely with the product manager and be the connecting link between stakeholders and the R&D project manager, technology manager, principal architects and engineers.
Your duties will include:
- Translating stakeholder requirements into high-level system requirements by consulting with various disciplines;
- Realizing a high-level product architecture in cooperation with the technology manager, principal architects and (lead) engineers;
- Translating the product architecture into subsystem requirements, together with the various disciplines;
- Directing the engineers on a technical level to achieve an integrated and validated end solution;
- Recognizing technical risks and come up with mitigation measures;
- Together with the project manager, you are responsible for achieving technical objectives and possible mitigation measures, while keeping lead time, costs and quality manageable;
- Responsible for the final completion of the construction file.

Your profile:
You are a passionate engineer who likes to work within a R&D environment. Next to that, you have significant experience within Systems Engineering. We are seeking a natural leader with excellent organizational, communication and analysis skills. In addition, you identify with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree within the technical field;
- 5+ years of experience in the role of Systems Engineer within a R&D environment;
- Experience in the use of V-model;
- knowledge of system architecture and requirement management (preferably JAMA);
- Proficient in English speaking and writing.
