Over the past three years, Alfen supplied 1,000 public charge points to the municipalities in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe together with Allego. Allego has won this tender and is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the charging infrastructure. Alfen is the subcontractor for the delivery of the chargers and maintenance for the coming ten years. 

The provinces of Groningen and Drenthe have joined forces to further encourage the sales of electric vehicles. This perfectly aligns with their ambition to realise a charging network for electric vehicles with sufficient charging stations where EV owners can charge at competitive rates.
