Certification Engineer

What will you do? 

In the role of Certification Engineer at Alfen, you will focus on ensuring that our advanced energy solutions comply with industry standards and regulations. You will play a critical role in certifying products such as fast-charging stations. By working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will navigate complex regulatory frameworks to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability. 

Furthermore, in this role you will: 

• Interpret and apply international standards. 

• Manage certification processes. 

• Develop testing strategies. 

• Collaborate with internal and external teams. 

• Proactively integrate certification requirements into product development. 

What are we looking for?

For a good match, we are looking for an R&D professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach. Someone capable of communicating effectively at all levels and gaining support for your technical solutions and innovations. Additionally: 

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field. 

• At least 7+ years of relevant work experience in certification, preferably in the energy or technology sector. 

• knowledge of the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU), a thorough understanding of international standards and certification processes for electrical components, strong analytical ability to interpret technical documents and standards, and experience with the Declaration of Conformity (DOC). 

• Availability for a minimum of 32 hours per week. 

• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
