
Lead Quality Engineer

What will you be doing?
As a Lead Quality Engineer at Alfen, you will be responsible for monitoring and systematically improving product quality within our product lines and among our suppliers. Thanks to your experience in a production environment, you know how to structurally improve processes and create support for change.
You will play both a coordinating and hands-on role within the quality team, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to tackle technical challenges and achieve continuous improvement. You’ll use your analytical skills and data analysis expertise to make performance measurable and translate insights into concrete actions.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:

Measure and analyze quality performance (KPIs), including supplier quality.

Investigate and implement structural technical improvements.

Evaluate samples of new components.

Support audits conducted by customers and certification bodies.

Design and monitor internal testing processes.

Set up and perform incoming goods inspections.

Follow up on quality issues with suppliers.

Conduct and coordinate supplier audits together with the procurement team.

Keep the quality management system up to date.

Coordinate customer complaints, 8D reports, and NCRs internally and externally.

Perform, analyze, and report on quality inspections and measurements.
What do we ask of you?

A completed bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Automotive).

10+ years of experience in a production environment in a mid- or senior-level role, and/or 5+ years of experience in a quality-related position.

Demonstrable affinity with our products and experience with data analysis.

Knowledge of and experience with MS Office.

Good command of Dutch and/or English, both spoken and written.
