Senior Mobile APP Engineer

What will you do?

Within our research and development department you will be part of the App development team, focused on Cloud (Web/App) development. In this position, you will be working with creative, professional and driven engineers and designers for whom craftsmanship and customer focus are key. The team is responsible for the development of all mobile apps within Alfen, such as the Maple app. This app is used by consumers for the usage of Alfen charging stations. You will also be working on new applications running on Android, iOS, macOS and UWP. The applications, based on React-Native and Electron, are the link between technology, other Alfen products and the end users / installer / CPO.

As a Senior Mobile App Developer, your biggest challenge is to ensure that features are translated into high-quality technical solutions in accordance with the architecture. In addition, you improve the current applications and get the opportunity to think along with the implementation of new projects and improving the software architecture. You will also improve the quality of the software and contribute to the development of work processes and procedures within the team.

What do we ask of you?

You have a driven, creative, accurate and communicatively strong personality and dare to take responsibility. You are result-oriented and eager to grow with the company. In addition, you have demonstrable experience in supervising junior engineers. Furthermore, we would like to see in your resume that you:

• Have a college or university degree in IT, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• Have a minimum of 8+ years of demonstrable experience in mobile app development;
• Can dream React Native, Electron, Jest and Appium;
• Have previously worked with various distribution channels such as App Store and Play Store;
• Are proficient with Native languages like Swift and Kotlin (is a plus);
• Have experience with development tooling like Bitbucket and Jira and working in agile environments;
• Are proficient with TDD and E2E test concepts (is a plus).
