Lead Software test Engineer (ACE)

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Lead Technical Test Engineer (Software). At Alfen you give structure to your (Agile) team and you coach the Test Engineers. We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working on test processes and collaborating on defining our Test strategy.
Knowledge of testing on an Embedded platform is our preference. At Alfen, both Hardware and Software are developed simultaneously. You will work closely with the Lead Hardware Test Engineer to ensure a well-aligned process.
Within our multidisciplinary R&D department, you and your enthusiastic team are responsible for testing high-tech semi-finished and end products in the field of Power Electronics, Control Technology and Electrical Engineering. In collaboration with your colleagues, you draw up the necessary test protocols, you perform tests and you are able to draw up a clear test report and propose improvements.
Main tasks:
- Provide structure/coaching to and collaborate with (Software) Test Engineers
- Collaborate with Hardware Test Engineers and Software Engineers
- Improving the test process
- Contribution to improving our test quality
- Act as a bridge between Management and test team , communicating test status and planning test activities
- Prepare test data and Test plans based on Risk based approach
- Conduct bug triages to highlight the most critical issues
- Manage and Maintain test scripts Library
- Support the integration and execution of automated tests in the CI environment of the project

- Relevant university education ((Embedded) Software, Computer Science, Robotics etc.)
- Experience with software testing
- Experience in coaching a group
- Interest in pushing test automation for embedded platforms
- Affinity with high-tech and/or automotive industry
- Interest in defining processes
- Proficient in both Dutch and English
- Preferred: ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manage
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Software testing
- Good knowledge/ experience in programming with Python
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating test teams
- Good Working experience with tools such as JIRA Confluence , Tester Suite, Jenkins
