29 August 2024Alfen’s ongoing installation of battery storage technologies at Katoen Natie’s facilities are expected to further expand the logistics provider’s sustainable storage capacity in Belgium to nearly 100MWh by the end of 2024. As renewable power generation accelerates toward Belgium’s target of 470GWh by 2030, the companies have worked together on a series of projects to triple Katoen Natie’s infrastructure capacity for sustainable power.

Alfen and TEC sign substations contract to electrify Walloon public transport buses
18 June 2024Alfen has secured a double-digit million-euro contract to deliver customised medium voltage walk-in substations for Belgian public transport company TEC, which provides bus, tram and metro services in the Walloon region. This project, delivered by Alfen Belgium, will enhance electrifying passenger bus fleets in the Walloon region.

Alfen partners with Ellevio Energy Solutions to increase flexibility in Sweden’s electricity grid with 90MW/90MWh of installed power capacity

Alfen marks first Battery Energy Storage System co-located at Swedish wind farm
25 January 2024Alfen has signed an agreement with Vasa Vind that marks its first battery energy storage system co-located at a Swedish wind farm. Alfen will design, engineer, install and commission a 20MW TheBattery Elements energy storage system in connection to one of Vasa Vind’s wind farms by the end of 2024.
