What will you do? 

As a Technical Support Specialist at Alfen, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and streamlining our service and support processes in France. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of tasks, including solving complex customer issues, supporting field technicians (both domestically and internationally), and analyzing tickets to improve our products. Your efforts will directly support our innovative initiatives in the energy sector. 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing telephone technical support to customers, end-users, and technicians. 

  • Coordinating and rolling out field tests for firmware releases. 

  • Labeling orders for reporting purposes and translating incidents into actionable problems. 

  • Developing substantiated improvement proposals for products and processes. 

  • Periodically discussing operational KPIs with customers. 

  • Documenting conversations and orders for administrative purposes. 

  • Analyzing complex service orders and preparing root cause reports for product enhancement. 

  • Guiding junior employees and interns. 

  • Performing additional tasks as needed to support the department. 

What are we looking for? 

For a good match, we are looking for a technically skilled professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach. Someone capable of effectively communicating at all levels and gaining support for technical solutions and innovations. Additionally, you should possess: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English. 

  • A completed HBO or WO degree with a strong affinity for technology.
