Today, Alfen is a leading pan-European energy solutions specialist of Europe’s transition to a more sustainable energy future, however our early days focused primarily on manufactured switching equipment for the distribution of electricity on the Dutch grid. Over the years Alfen has grown into leading player across EV charging equipment, smart grid solutions and battery energy storage systems.
Launch of J. van Alfen's factory of high and low-voltage devices
Founded as “J. van Alfen's factory of high and low-voltage devices” (in Dutch: J. van Alfen’s hoog- en laagspanningsapparaten) in Hilversum, the Netherlands
