What will you do?

As an Electrician (Transformer Stations) at Alfen, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects that are essential to the energy transition. You will work on various projects within SGS at Alfen, focusing on the production and optimisation of smart networks. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to solve technical challenges and deliver successful project outcomes that meet both customer requirements and market demands.

You will be involved in exciting projects in the field of Smart Grid solutions, contributing to the latest developments and applications within this domain.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Checking materials, components, drawings, and tools; independently carrying out assembly work such as lighting, cabling, pre-assembly rack construction, and final assembly.

  • Performing inspections and consulting with the Lead Electrician where necessary; monitoring order, cleanliness, and compliance with company and safety regulations.

  • Supervising apprentices and interns in collaboration with Lead Electrician colleagues.

What do we expect from you?

For a good match, we are looking for an electrotechnical professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach—someone who can communicate effectively at all levels and create buy-in for your projects and solutions. Additionally:

  • Minimum of a completed MBO (secondary vocational education) qualification, preferably in Electrical Engineering.

  • At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role.

  • Availability of at least 36 hours per week.

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
