What will you do?

As Manager Production Technology at Alfen, you are responsible for optimizing the production processes of our EV charging stations (EVCE). You take the lead in designing, implementing, and improving efficient, scalable, and reliable production methods for both existing and new products. You do this together with an enthusiastic team and in close collaboration with various internal departments.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Production Technology department: organizing, coaching, motivating, and developing employees.

  • Monitoring departmental goals and ensuring good collaboration with other teams.

  • Identifying and analyzing bottlenecks in the production process and initiating improvements with a focus on automation and manufacturability.

  • Taking the lead in introducing new products and guiding pre-production series.

  • Ensuring proper tooling, working methods, and instructions on the production floor.

  • Actively contributing to improving IT processes within production.

  • Supporting root cause analyses (8D) in case of disruptions.

  • Ensuring knowledge retention for new employees.

What do we ask of you?

For a good match, we are looking for a people manager with technical insight, strong analytical skills, and a structured approach. Someone who can convince and motivate others while maintaining calm in a dynamic environment. Additionally, you have:

  • At least a completed bachelor’s degree (HBO), preferably in Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a production or process improvement environment.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Knowledge of and experience with LEAN methodologies and Operational Excellence.

  • Experience with MS Office and an ERP system.

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
