
Become Alfen’s Digital Lead and build a future proof digital ecosystem. You shape the digital strategy, boost Alfen’s digital maturity, and deliver smart, scalable and secure digital experiences that support our growth across Europe.
What will you do?
As Digital Lead, you own Alfen’s entire digital ecosystem — from the corporate website and customer journeys to analytics, paid media and the full digital technology stack. You develop and execute a long‑term digital strategy (3–5 years), implement governance, and ensure that our digital platforms are high‑performing, secure, compliant and commercially effective.
You collaborate closely with IT to safeguard architecture, cybersecurity, privacy and integrations, and with Marketing, Sales and Product Management to ensure that digital initiatives directly support our business and market ambitions.
Your responsibilities include:
Digital Strategy & Governance
- Defining and leading Alfen’s long-term digital strategy.
- Translating priorities into digital roadmaps, milestones and KPIs.
- Establishing governance for platforms, tools, data and vendors.
- Acting as a digital transformation advisor to senior leadership.
- Ensuring alignment with IT architecture, cybersecurity and privacy frameworks.
Digital Experience, Platforms & Technology
- Owning the corporate website, portals, configurators and digital journeys.
- Leading UX improvements, redesigns and technical upgrades.
- Ensuring platform scalability, security, GDPR compliance and data integrity.
- Managing API usage, tagging, tracking and platform integrations.
Digital Growth & Performance
- Leading digital growth strategies across demand generation, engagement and conversion.
- Managing paid and organic channels (search, display, social, programmatic).
- Defining audiences, targeting and KPIs to support brand and commercial goals.
- Using dashboards and analytics to monitor and optimize performance.
- Ensuring digital channels operate as commercial engines for lead generation.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Acting as the central digital partner for Marketing, Sales, Product, IT and Communications.
- Managing external digital agencies and technology partners.
- Ensuring cross‑functional alignment of digital initiatives.
- Guiding teams with digital insights, best practices and capability building.
- Safeguarding on-brand execution across all digital touchpoints.
What do we ask of you?
- Academic (Master’s) level of working and thinking.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital strategy or digital performance.
- Proven ability to translate data into strategic decisions and concrete outcomes.
- Experience with digital governance, platform ownership and IT collaboration.
- Strong expertise in UX/CX, website management, analytics, tracking, SEO/SEA and digital tools.
- Fluent in English; Dutch preferred.

You will be part of Marketing & Communications, collaborating intensively with IT, Sales and Product teams across Europe. As Digital Lead, you play a crucial role in shaping Alfen’s digital transformation and strengthening our digital brand presence.
