
Teamlead Work Preparation
Take ownership of the complete work preparation process within projects and service operations, ensuring predictable, safe, and efficient execution. You will lead the Work Preparation team and safeguard quality, consistency, and process optimization across the entire workflow.
What will you do?
As Teamlead Work Preparation, you are responsible for optimizing, coordinating, and managing all work preparation processes for both project-based installations and service/maintenance activities.
You ensure that planning, materials, documentation, and work packages are complete, timely, and error‑free. With this, you enable our technicians, project teams, and service organization to work safely, predictably, and efficiently.
With your technical insight, process-oriented approach, and strong stakeholder management skills, you connect Project Management, Service Operations, Planning, Logistics, R&D, and the Technical Office. You will build a uniform, scalable, and professional work preparation process.
Your tasks include:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Working in accordance with all QHSE standards and AIM procedures.
• Safeguarding safety, quality, and compliance in work packages and customer interactions.
• Ensuring that internal and external stakeholders adhere to agreed safety practices.
Work Preparation Excellence
• Coordinating full work preparation for project‑based activities in close cooperation with Project Management, the Technical Office, R&D, and Planning.
• Creating, monitoring, and optimizing schedules, materials, work packages, and execution dossiers.
• Ensuring complete, accurate, and transferable technical documentation such as drawings, BOMs, risk analyses, installation packages, and handover dossiers.
• Organizing preventive and corrective maintenance preparation together with Service Operations.
• Prioritizing malfunctions and service requests based on urgency, impact, SLAs, and available capacity.
• Ensuring fast and effective deployment of people, tools, and materials.
Processes & Standardization
• Improving and standardizing work preparation processes.
• Implementing and optimizing tools such as ERP and planning systems.
• Continuously improving lead times, efficiency, and process reliability.
Quality & Documentation Governance
• Ensuring that technical documentation is complete, up-to-date, and accurate.
• Monitoring the quality and completeness of work packages, instructions, and service documentation.
• Enforcing strict compliance with procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Stakeholder Management
• Working closely with Project Management, Service, Planning, Logistics, R&D, and the Technical Office.
• Providing advice on material availability, feasibility, risks, and planning.
• Translating technical and operational insights into impact on time, quality, and costs.
Leadership & Team Development
• Leading the Work Preparation team; coordinating, coaching, and developing team members.
• Setting objectives and conducting progress, performance, and evaluation reviews.
• Taking responsibility for task distribution and capacity planning.
• Resolving escalations and complex operational issues.
• Facilitating optimal collaboration between project and service activities.
What do we ask of you?
• HBO+ level of working and thinking, preferably in a technical field (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering).
• At least 5 years of experience in work preparation within both project and service/maintenance environments.
• Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating technical/operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of technical processes, installation activities, and maintenance concepts.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems and environments with high documentation and material flow requirements.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills in dynamic environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical, quality‑driven, and able to initiate and implement process improvements.
• Able to perform under time pressure without compromising quality and safety.

You will work closely with Project Management, Service, Logistics, R&D, Planning, and the Technical Office. You are the key link between preparation, execution, quality, and safety, ensuring that our teams always have complete and accurate information to work with.
