Technical Support Engineer (Temporary)

What will you do?

As a Technical Support Engineer at Alfen, you play a key role in supporting and improving our electric vehicle charging solutions. You ensure that our customers and technicians are fully supported during the installation, use, and maintenance of our charging stations. This includes analysing and resolving technical issues, improving support processes, and sharing knowledge with colleagues and partners.

You will work closely with departments such as Research & Development, Product Management, and Field Service to ensure that our EVCE products perform optimally and are prepared for the future. From supporting firmware updates to analysing data logs, your contribution directly influences the reliability and user-friendliness of our charging solutions.

Thanks to your efforts, our smart charging stations across Europe continue to contribute to the energy transition, helping to make electric driving more accessible every day.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Responding to and recording technical support questions from customers, installers, and internal colleagues.

• Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions remotely.

• Identifying recurring issues and contributing to structural improvements.

What do we ask of you?

We are looking for a technical support professional with a hands-on, result-oriented, and structured approach. Someone who can communicate effectively at all levels and who is capable of building support for your projects and solutions. In addition, you have:

• A completed secondary vocational education (MBO level 4), preferably in the direction of electrical engineering, information and communication technology, or mechatronics.

• At least two years of relevant work experience in a similar technical support role.

• Availability of at least 32 hours per week for a period of six months.

• Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
