The electricity grid of the future
Nursery Gerbera United is an expert in growing gerberas. This greenhouse horticulturist is located in the Netherlands and operates no less than 7.5 hectares of greenhouses. Here, stations delivered by Alfen are used for all daily operations and lighting the flowers.
IONITY has implemented a network of fast charging stations for EVs in Europe, for which Alfen has facilitated the local grid connection.

After Alfen announced to be part of the largest public charging infrastructure project in Belgium in 2017, Alfen delivered another 440 EV charging stations to Fluvius in 2019. The EV charging stations were supplied by Allego, who entered a 10-year exploitation contract with Fluvius when the project was launched.
Alfen supplied an energy storage system to WeertEnergie for solar power owned by a cooperative; a first of its kind. The COOP-Store (Cooperative Storage Renewable Energy) project aims to combine multiple cases: optimising local self-consumption from solar PV, providing grid stability services and energy trading.
Alfen supplied a local grid connection for a 2.6MWp floating solar park in the ECW greenhouse network.
