Health & Safety Advisor

What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible for developing, advising on, and implementing processes in the field of safety and health within Alfen. You analyze data, identify trends, and translate these into concrete recommendations for our production and project teams.

With your sharp eye and strategic insight, you know how to connect safety to culture, leadership, and performance. You actively contribute to building a safety culture that goes beyond simply complying with regulations – focusing on awareness, behavior, and continuous improvement.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Developing and establishing practical and safe standards and processes;

• Preparing, carrying out, and reporting audits, and drawing up action plans;

• Reporting and documenting safety data and risk analyses;

• Carrying out inspections at production sites and project locations in the Netherlands (occasional support for the Belgium location);

• Advising production and project managers and coordinating with fellow advisors in areas such as Quality and Learning & Development;

• Contributing to the strategic vision for safety and health within Alfen.

What do we ask of you?

You are a decisive professional with a results-oriented and structured approach. You know how to get people on board, at every level of the organization.

In addition, you have:

• A completed higher education (HBO/WO), preferably in MVK (Middle Safety Expert), Integral Safety Management, or a similar field;

• At least 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, ideally in a production or project environment;

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (such as RI&E and NEN 3140);

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;

• The ability to translate data into practical insights and improvement initiatives;

• Experience with management systems and accident investigation is an advantage.
