What will you be doing?

As a Project Manager at Alfen, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing projects in the field of Energy Storage Systems (ESS). These systems are vital for balancing the electricity grid and enabling a sustainable energy supply. You’ll work on complex, international projects, solving technical challenges with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Delivering project objectives according to contractual agreements and taking appropriate actions in case of deviations.

• Leading and attending project meetings, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitoring and developing project planning, forecasting, budgets, quality, and safety.

• Leading project teams and ensuring effective collaboration.

• Actively managing the process from sales handover to project delivery and transition to the service department.

• Coordinating the creation of technical documentation such as schematics, drawings, and specifications.

• Providing timely and complete reporting to the internal organization.

• Identifying and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.

What do we expect from you?

We’re looking for an experienced professional with a hands-on, results-oriented, and structured approach. You should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and build support for your projects and solutions. In addition, you have:

• A completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a similar field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in executing (international) technical projects.

• Experience in a technical project environment; experience with energy storage systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems; you can read technical drawings.

• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

• A VCA VOL certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and familiarity with NEN 3840 / NEN 3146.
