Do you want to earn an accredited vocational diploma, gain work experience, and earn money at the same time? Then we at Alfen are looking for you! During the work-study program, you’ll learn the ins and outs of electrical engineering, giving you a strong start in the world of technology!

What will you be doing?

As an apprentice technician, you will be trained to become an electrical technician. During the program, you will work with our three different business units: transformer stations, charging stations, and energy storage systems. You will rotate between departments every 3 months to help you find which area suits you best! Alongside your fellow technicians, you will learn a lot and ensure a high-quality final product. Your tasks will include:

  • Checking materials, components, drawings, and tools;
  • Independently performing assembly tasks, such as lighting, wiring, preliminary rack assembly, and final assembly;
  • Gaining broad work experience by spending 4.5 days a week in our large production halls.

What do we ask from you?

We are looking for someone with a pleasant personality, attention to detail, and a collaborative nature. Your CV should include:

  • An MBO level 1, VMBO basic/mixed/framework/theoretical diploma, or a transition proof to 4 HAVO or VWO;
  • Good command of the Dutch language;
  • Any work experience you have is a plus. Experience in a production environment or in technology is highly desirable.
