Alfen to deliver micro-grids for two Ecorus solar farms

Alfen was selected by Ecorus, an international solar PV developer and constructor, to deliver local micro-grids and connections to the central power grid for solar PV farms Tholen and Leeksterveld in the Netherlands. The Tholen solar PV farm is located in the province of Zeeland and has a capacity of 17 MWp. Leeksterveld is located in the province of Groningen and has a capacity of 10 MWp.

Raphael Janssens, managing partner at Ecorus said: “Over the years Alfen has supported us with their local grid experience on various projects, starting in 2016 with Ecorus 6 MWp Solar Campus in Purmerend and most recently at our 9 MWp solar farm De Vaandel in Heerhugowaard.”

Serge Kraaijeveld, sales manager smart grid solutions at Alfen, adds: “As the number and size of solar PV projects is rapidly increasing, our innovative and tailored solar PV solutions are becoming more and more important. We are proud to be selected by Ecorus for these new projects.”

Both projects are expected to be completed in Q3 2019.
