Alfen selected by Allego to supply chargers and service to Groningen and Drenthe
Alfen has been selected by Allego to supply 1,000 public chargers over the coming three years to the Dutch municipalities in the provinces Groningen and Drenthe. Allego has won this tender and is responsible for the installation, operations and maintenance of the charging infrastructure. Alfen will be the subcontractor for the delivery of the chargers and maintenance for the coming ten years.
The provinces Groningen and Drenthe joined forces in further stimulating the adoption of electric vehicles with the ambition to realize an EV charging network that provides adequate coverage of charge points where EV drivers can charge their cars against competitive charging tariffs.
Harold Langenberg, MD Benelux & UK at Allego, comments: “We are pleased to help accelerate the adoption of sustainable mobility in Groningen and Drenthe. Having a modern and reliable charging network is a mandatory requirement for consumers to choose an electric car. Alfen is our partner to facilitate the municipalities and provinces in their ambitions.”
Jan-Anne Hoekstra, Commercial Director at Alfen Charging Equipment at Alfen adds: “We are proud to have been chosen by Allego, one of the largest providers of charging solutions in Europe, to supply them with our innovative chargers. Our proven track record across Europe provides a solid basis for a rapid scale-up in volumes as a result of the growth of electric vehicles.”
