Opel selects Alfen EV charge points for German HQ
German car manufacturer, Opel, has selected Alfen to supply over 300 smart charge points for parking facilities at its headquarters in Russelsheim, Germany. Alfen will supply two different products, its Eve Single and Eve Double Pro-lines, both of which are designed for energy and grid optimisation and can be connected in a Smart Charging Network.
The charge points are part of Opel’s ambitious electrification strategy which, by 2020, aims to have four plug-in or purely battery electric vehicles on the market and equip its hometown, Russelsheim, with a significant concentration of charge points. Until 2024, Opel will become a fully electric brand with electrified options in all model lines.
Jan-Anne Hoekstra, Commercial Director EV Charging Equipment at Alfen comments: “Opel is making massive strides into electrification. We are proud to have been selected and genuinely feel privileged to be part of its exciting infrastructure project in its hometown.”
