Stedin electrifies car fleet based on Alfen's charging equipment
As part of its program to electrify its car fleet, Stedin is installing charging stations for electric cars at various Stedin locations throughout the Netherlands. At its location in Utrecht, the first 25 Alfen EV chargers have recently been installed by WL Techniek. These charging points are all branded with the Stedin logo and equipped with Alfen's Smart Charging Network for simultaneously charging a large number of cars.
Fenna Markwat - de Jong, Project lead facilities at Stedin, explains why Alfen’s charging infrastructure was chosen: "We have been working with Alfen for decades in the field of medium voltage grid solutions. In addition, we worked together on energy storage projects along the A2 highway at Haarrijn, the ADO The Hague football stadium and recently a community battery in a renovated residential area in Woerden. This experience gave us the confidence to also select Alfen for the roll-out of our charging infrastructure. On to the next sustainable mobility project. "
Stedin expects to install around 85 charging stations at its various locations in 2018.
