As a Domain Expert ESS at Alfen, you combine technical expertise with commercial insight to support our sales and product teams in developing competitive, technically sound, and customer-focused energy storage solutions. You ensure our customers always receive the best possible solution.
What will you do?
As Domain Expert ESS, you are the go-to specialist in the field of energy storage within Alfen. You support the sales process from start to finish: identifying opportunities, translating customer needs into feasible and profitable ESS solutions, and helping close deals. You act as a sparring partner for both customers and internal departments such as sales, product management, and R&D.
You provide input to our product and R&D teams based on market insights and customer feedback. During project execution and maintenance, you are the first point of contact for technical challenges within your domain.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and translating market and customer needs into suitable ESS solutions
- Applying solution architecture methodologies and best practices within your domain
- Ensuring technical, operational, and maintenance feasibility of solutions
- Supporting and advising sales, bid management, and solution architects in creating winning proposals
- Safeguarding solution consistency throughout the entire project lifecycle (from engineering to maintenance)
- Acting as an expert in technical issues and escalations for customers and internal teams
- Identifying risks and proactively proposing mitigating measures
- Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers
What do we ask of you?
You are analytically strong, communicative, customer-oriented, and have in-depth knowledge of energy storage technologies. You can translate complex technical issues into clear solutions and enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you have:
- A completed university-level (WO) education
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Deep knowledge of technologies within the ESS domain and related markets
- Ability to develop creative solutions in multidisciplinary teams within Alfen, with customers and external partners
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in both Dutch and English
