Join Alfen as a Junior L&D Advisor. Bring your enthusiasm and passion for learning and development to help employees grow and contribute to building a learning culture within a sustainable, fast-growing company.

What will you do?

As a Junior L&D Advisor, you will support the development of people and teams across Alfen. You’ll work closely with the L&D team and HR colleagues, taking a hands-on role in organizing, coordinating, and developing learning activities. You know how to translate what is needed on the work floor into effective learning solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and managing our LMS (ADAPT Learn & Perform) and acting as backup for the system administrator.

  • Creating and maintaining learning content: from e-learnings to practical instructions, manuals, and training materials.

  • Assisting in running our practical school and supporting technical training programs.

  • Coordinating and organizing workshops, knowledge sessions, and excursions.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with schools, educational institutions, peers, and similar companies.

  • Identifying learning needs on the work floor and helping to turn them into concrete learning interventions.

What do we ask from you?

You are energetic, eager to learn, and hands-on. You pay attention to detail while also seeing the bigger picture of connecting people. You enjoy working with different target groups and are excited to keep learning on the job. In addition, you have:

  • A completed MBO 4 or Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Learning & Development, Educational Science, or a similar field.

  • 1–3 years of work or internship experience in an L&D environment.

  • Affinity with LMS systems and digital learning solutions.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with an eye for accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.

What do we offer you?

At Alfen, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a learning organization at the heart of the energy transition. You will become part of an enthusiastic and dedicated HR team. In addition, you can expect:

  • A market-based salary in line with the Metalektro CLA.

  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV (additional free) days per year, with the option to sell up to 10 days.

  • Hybrid working (up to 2 days per week with a 40-hour contract).

  • Free access to our online learning environment.

  • Participation in employee associations AlFun and Young Alfen.

  • Access to sport facilities such as the Alfen Fitness Sportlab and participation in sport events.

  • Pension plan via PME, with Alfen covering more than half of the contribution.

  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer (up to 50 km one way).

Where will you work?

Alfen is at the heart of the energy transition. With our innovative products and systems, we are building the electricity grid of the future. Within our HR department, people development is key. You will play an important role in supporting employees, organizing learning activities, and strengthening a culture of continuous learning.
