What will you do?
As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you are the driving force behind the mechanical design and development of our most complex and innovative products. You translate functional requirements into robust technical designs, validate them using FEM analyses, and guide the realization process through to product introduction.
You will work in multidisciplinary teams on New Product Development (NPD) and Product Lifecycle (PL) projects. You take the lead on technical content, act as a sounding board for fellow engineers, and ensure knowledge transfer and continuous improvement within your field.
Your key responsibilities:

Design mechanical concepts based on customer needs and product specifications.

Perform structural and force calculations (FEM) to validate design choices.

Guide prototype development and translate feedback into final production drawings.

Select and specify components and materials.
-
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and technical documentation.

Support production and work preparation with assembly-related questions.

Coach and mentor junior colleagues within the R&D team.

Initiate and share innovations and improve design methods and standards.
What do we ask of you?
You are technically skilled, inspire others, and take the lead in complex development projects. You are analytical, creative, and able to turn your knowledge into practical and scalable solutions.
You also bring:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

At least 5 years of experience in product development within a technical project environment.

Experience with 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks or Inventor) and FEM analysis tools.

Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.

Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
