
Teamlead Service Improvement
Take responsibility for improving the reliability, availability and performance of our capital intensive energy storage systems. You lead a multidisciplinary team and secure structural performance improvements across the full asset lifecycle.
What will you do?
As Team Lead Service Improvement, you are the driving force behind reliability, availability and maintenance improvements within our Energy Storage Systems (ESS). You manage a multidisciplinary team consisting of a Spare Parts Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Data & Reporting Specialist and Continuous Improvement Engineer. Together, you work on increasing uptime, reducing failures and optimizing maintenance strategies.
With your technical insight, data‑driven approach and strong leadership, you deliver structural improvements in asset performance, maintenance processes and lifecycle management. You play a crucial role in connecting engineering, operations, service and data disciplines.
Your responsibilities include:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Working in accordance with all QHSE standards and AIM procedures.
- Ensuring safety, quality and compliance in all service and customer interactions.
- Making sure internal and external stakeholders adhere to agreed safety guidelines.
Leadership & Team Development
- Managing and coaching a multidisciplinary team.
- Developing technical and analytical capabilities with a focus on reliability & maintenance engineering.
- Creating a culture of ownership, asset performance awareness and structured problem‑solving.
- Stimulating collaboration between engineering, operations, service and data teams.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on impact on reliability, availability and lifecycle costs.
Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Initiating and leading improvement projects focused on reliability growth and failure reduction.
- Identifying bottlenecks and structurally resolving recurring failure mechanisms.
- Applying RCA, FMEA, RCM and other reliability methodologies.
- Implementing measures that increase uptime and asset performance.
- Embedding improvements into maintenance concepts, work methods and systems.
- Applying Lean, Kaizen and other CI methodologies as supporting tools.
- Strengthening service KPIs such as first‑time‑fix, response times and maintenance efficiency.
Performance Management
- Defining and monitoring asset KPIs such as availability, reliability, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance costs.
- Analysing failure data, maintenance data and operational performance metrics.
- Translating insights into concrete reliability and maintenance improvement actions.
- Steering predictability and performance across the full asset lifecycle.
- Reporting to management on technical performance, trends and improvement initiatives.
Processes & Standardization
- Developing and implementing preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance strategies.
- Standardizing reliability and maintenance engineering processes and methods.
- Optimizing spare‑parts strategies and maintenance planning.
- Integrating data analysis and digitalisation into maintenance and reliability workflows.
- Improving end‑to‑end asset lifecycle management.
- Supporting digitalisation and automation of processes.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Working closely with Operations, Service, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, IT and suppliers.
- Advising management on asset performance, risks and investment decisions.
- Translating technical insights into business impact (cost, risk, availability).
- Supporting escalations and complex technical issues.
- Acting as the connecting link between technology, operations and data.
- Promoting a shared organisational focus on asset performance.
What do we ask of you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering or asset management.
- Proven experience improving reliability and maintenance strategies.
- Skilled in RCA, FMEA, RCM and reliability engineering principles.
- Experience with technical data analysis (asset data, failure data, maintenance data).
- Knowledge of KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR and availability.
- Experience with CI methodologies such as Lean and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, pragmatic and results‑driven mindset.
