Alfen and Bee enter partnership for EV smart charging in Sweden

Bee Charging Solutions AB, one of the leading EV charge point operators in Sweden, has chosen Alfen as their supplier to provide the company with smart charge points for electric vehicles. The companies signed a framework agreement for an initial period of three years. The partnership focuses primarily on real estate and companies but may also include home charging and public charging.

Bee is owned by three leading energy companies in Sweden: Öresundskraft, Jämtkraft and Tekniska verken in Linköping and aims to accelerate the transition to e-mobility. In addition to offering charge points for EV charging at home and in public areas, Bee also provides companies and real estate owners with charging solutions for their employees, visitors, and residents. Alfen offers a complete range of high-quality smart charge points for use at home, work and in public areas. This enables Bee to offer the most suitable Alfen charging station for the different needs of its business and real estate customers.

If multiple Alfen smart charging stations are installed on one site, Alfen's industry leading Smart Charging Network and Active Load Balancing solutions can be added. This advanced functionality enables Bee customers to connect up to 100 charge points in a single installation and balance the available power across all vehicles charging. The main advantage of this solution is that charging speeds are maximised within the available local grid capacity, avoiding overloading the local electricity supply.

Fredrik Nordin, CEO at Bee Charging Solutions, says: “We look forward to the partnership with Alfen as our new EV charging partner. The market is growing fast and requires increasingly smarter solutions. We believe we have found a partner in Alfen who can provide us with the right smart, fast and secure charging solutions, not only today but also in the future.”

August Mazetti, Sales Manager Alfen EV Charging Equipment Sweden, adds: “Alfen is delighted to become a long-term EV charging partner for Bee because of their strong position with the car brand partners, the huge public network and the responsibility that Bee takes towards all EV drivers. We look forward to supporting Bee in their journey to accelerate the transition to e-mobility.”
