
Interim Projectmanager

What will you be doing?
As an Interim Project Manager (minimum assignment duration: 6 months) at Alfen, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects in the field of Energy Storage Systems (ESS). These systems are vital for balancing the electricity grid and enabling a sustainable, reliable energy supply.
You will lead complex, international projects, solve technical challenges with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure smooth project delivery from start to finish.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Delivering project objectives in line with contractual agreements and taking appropriate action when deviations arise.
- Leading and attending project meetings, maintaining strong client relationships, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and developing project planning, forecasting, budgets, quality, and safety.
- Leading project teams and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Actively managing the full process from sales handover to project delivery and transfer to the service department.
- Coordinating the creation of technical documentation such as schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Providing timely and complete internal reporting.
- Identifying and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.
What do we expect from you?
You're an experienced professional with a hands‑on, results‑driven, and structured approach. You communicate effectively at all levels and know how to build support for your projects and solutions. You also have:
- A completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in executing (international) technical projects.
- Experience in a technical project environment; experience with energy storage systems is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems; and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- A VCA VOL certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and familiarity with NEN 3840 / NEN 3146.
