
Technical Specialist - Sales Support Finland

What will you do?
In this role, you are the technical backbone of our Sales organisation. You translate customer requirements into feasible, high‑quality solutions and ensure that every offer meets our engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
You work closely with Sales Managers, Product Management, Engineering and Operations. With your technical expertise, you guide customers in making the right decisions, support Sales in meetings, and make sure that all assumptions and risks are clearly understood.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Defining, validating and documenting technical solutions for sales cases.
- Preparing technical specifications, single-line diagrams and technical descriptions.
- Identifying technical risks, deviations and assumptions for accurate costing.
- Ensuring full compliance with product standards, engineering rules and regulations.
- Supporting Sales Managers in customer meetings and technical clarification sessions.
- Collaborating with R&D, Planning and Operations on solution feasibility.
- Providing technical input for marketing materials and customer events.
- Maintaining clear, structured documentation and ensuring high technical quality.
- Supporting a smooth technical handover to our project execution teams.
- Sharing feedback to improve products, tools and internal processes.
What do we ask of you?
You are a technically skilled professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and working with both customers and internal teams. You communicate clearly, work systematically and understand the commercial impact of technical choices.
You also bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or power engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of low- and medium‑voltage systems and substations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, standards and drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing, testing and delivery processes in power distribution.
- Experience with configuration tools and technical documentation.
- Insight into sales processes and cost‑driven decision making.
- Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills.
- Fluent Finnish; English required. Swedish is considered an advantage.
- A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to work under time pressure.
📍 Location: Pietarsaari or Vaasa (Alfen Elkamo sites)
