Technical Specialist - Sales Support Finland

What will you do?

As a Technical Specialist – Sales Support, you are the technical backbone of our Sales team at Alfen Elkamo. You transform customer requirements into feasible, compliant and high‑quality technical solutions. By preparing specifications, layouts, technical descriptions and documentation, you ensure our offers are accurate, competitive and aligned with our engineering and manufacturing standards.

You will collaborate directly with Sales Managers, Product Management, Engineering and Operations to ensure all solutions meet the highest quality expectations and regulatory requirements. With your technical expertise, you help customers make informed decisions, support Sales in meetings, and ensure all assumptions and risks are clearly identified.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Defining, validating and documenting technical solutions in sales cases.
• Preparing technical specifications, single-line diagrams and technical descriptions.
• Identifying technical risks, deviations and assumptions for accurate costing.
• Ensuring solutions comply with product standards, engineering rules and regulations.
• Supporting Sales Managers in customer meetings and technical clarification sessions.
• Collaborating with R&D, Planning and Operations on solution feasibility.
• Contributing technical input for marketing materials and customer events.
• Ensuring structured documentation, clear communication and high technical quality.
• Supporting technical handover processes to project execution teams.
• Providing feedback for continuous improvement in products and processes.

What do we ask of you?

You are a technically skilled professional with excellent problem‑solving capabilities, a structured mindset and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly. You enjoy working closely with customers and internal teams to create the best possible solution.

Additionally, you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or power engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical understanding of low- and medium-voltage systems and substations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, standards and drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing, testing and delivery processes in power distribution.
• Experience using configuration tools and producing technical documentation.
• Knowledge of sales processes and the commercial impact of technical choices.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent Finnish; English required, Swedish is an advantage.
• A proactive, solution-driven mindset and the ability to work under time pressure.

📍 Location: This position is based at our Alfen Elkamo sites in Pietarsaari or Vaasa.
